The Stoma Saved My Life (click title to listen)
By Cal Brazier
There are paper bags, plastic bags and gunny bags too.
But the bag this tune is about is a bag that holds my stool.
There are a couple of four-letter words that describe what stool could be,
But the nicest of them two four-letter words would be poop you see,
Anyhow, now I have a bag that hangs from my belly,
It fastens to a thing called stoma, it really isn’t smelly.
I dump it 6 or 8 times a day that saves on the stress,
If it gets heavy, it could break loose and there would be a mess.
I have to remember one thing, it took several times anyhow-to do it.
That was to fasten the bottom of the bag, there is really nothing to it.
There are no more turds like there used to be, and the farts don’t smell the same,
It all comes out of the stoma, it’s a new ball game.
It saves a lot of time you see when it comes to take my bath,
I don’t have to wash my rear end, now what do you think of that?
Oh the hole is there that I used to use, but I don’t use it anymore.
I don’t scratch it like I used to, I don’t itch like I did before.
I’ve gotten used to the bag and I sometime think it’s nice,
Because the bag and the thing called stoma has really saved my life.
