Brenda Elsagher was voted Twin Cities Funniest Person by Acme comedy club in Minnesota, Newsmaker of the year by the Women's Press and has received the Golden "Mic" award from the American Cancer Society.
Brenda is a President-elect of the United Ostomy Association's Minneapolis chapter, is an advocate for the National Cancer Institute's CARRA (consumer advocates of research and related activities) program.
Brenda has an interfaith/intercultural marriage, is a mother of two teenagers that still like her, a keynote national speaker and author of two books, If the Battle is Over, Why am I Still in Uniform? and I'd Like to Buy a Bowel Please! She is also a columnist for a nationally syndicated medical newsletter and has written for national magazines.
